After being forcibly displaced during the war due to changing borders and regimes, architect Laszlo Toth flees post-war Europe to America to rebuild his life, career, and marriage with his wife Erzebet. Laszlo settles alone in the strange new land of Pennsylvania, where wealthy and famous industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren recognizes his construction skills. But power and inheritance come at a high price…
