I went to Juilliard
Narrative
The ghosts of the deceased couple are disturbed by an intolerable family that has moved into their house and hires an evil spirit to drive them away. This is Michael Keaton’s favorite movie. Oth’s shoes, as he spray paints the walls of the house, change from bright red elf shoes to white sneakers as he enters the bathroom, then back to red elf shoes when he enters the next room. Adam: What are your qualifications? Beetlejuice: Oh. Well…
I travel a lot
I graduated from Harvard Business School. I survived the Black Death and I enjoyed it. I’VE SEEN THE EXORCIST ABOUT ONE HUNDRED AND SEVEN SEVEN TIMES, AND IT GETS FUNNIER EACH TIME I SEE IT… NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT YOU’RE TALKING TO THE DEAD… WHAT DO YOU THINK? Do you think I’m qualified?
A working copy of the film has surfaced with some added/alternate scenes
The Geffen company logo is accompanied by a creepy version of the Banana Boat song (sung by the film’s composer Danny Elfman). This version of the film is about 2 minutes shorter than the theatrical release, has some additional scenes and is missing others, is in black and white, and has a time code at the bottom. This version has 4 main differences: Alternate Scene: There is a different scene where Adam tries to leave the house after he and his wife have died. Instead of a desert, he sees an empty darkness filled with rolling gears. Additional Scenes: Added a scene where Lydia develops the photos she took of Adam and Barbra. Then, after her mother yells at her and blames her for making holes in the sheets, Lydia runs upstairs and tries to convince her father that the photos are real.
Edited for Terror Toons (2002)
There’s more in the scene where the adults are looking for ghosts in the attic, where we see a desert monster trying to eat Adam and Barbra while they’re hanging from the attic window. Lastly, there is an extra 2 minute scene at the end where we see Lydia riding her bike home from school and her parents talking to Jane on the phone telling her they don’t want to sell the house. Lydia’s dance scene is shorter in this version and there is no scene with Bub in the waiting room. The film ends with a final shot of the exterior of the house. Day-OTraditional, lyrics by William A. Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice is an excellent film
Attaway & Irving Burgie (as Lord Burgess)] Starring Harry Belafonte Courtesy of RCA Records. The director was given carte blanche to make his film visual and that’s great. The cast is good, but the best is Michael Keaton. Keaton is absolutely hilarious in the title role. This movie is very entertaining and well made.
