Dexter Morgan: I’ve lived in the dark for a long time. Over the years my eyes adjusted until the darkness became my world and I could see. I read Lindsay’s excellent books – Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter – a while back and when I heard there was going to be a series based on the books I was extremely excited.
Fortunately, "Dexter" absolutely delivers
So much so, in fact, that I feared disappointment simply because my standards were so high. The show maintains the uncomfortable atmosphere of the novels with better fidelity than we could have ever expected, and Dexter (played by Hall) is there. The visuals in the show are stunning to say the least.
Disturbing, sure, but more than that – fascinating
Watching the show, it’s impossible not to find a certain accord in itself for Dexter. He’s a monster and yet it’s totally possible to relate to him.10 out of 10. This has a permanent spot on my DVR.
