Based on the comic book "Here" by Richard McGuire
Narrative
A generational story about families and the special place they inhabit, sharing love, loss, laughter and life. It was first published as a strip in the comic book magazine "Raw" in 1989 and expanded into a 300-page graphic novel in 2014. The setting is Philadelphia, but the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs is shown hitting the same area. That asteroid landed in what is now the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico.

Not to say it’s a bad movie
Hill. One thing in its favor is that it has the gall to pull it off. There are a few things that don’t work in its favor: Robin Wright’s forced laughs, shallow storytelling, hammy, no real conclusions to the intertwined stories. Most disturbing, though, is the overuse of CGI to the point where it’s almost an AI movie.
The bones are there: the sets, the single-camera perspective, the monologues
The opening sequence, the sharp focus of characters close to the “camera,” the fake fire in the fireplace, the way the far wall disappears to show characters waving goodbye to each other. If feature-length AI movies are in our immediate future, how long will our lives resemble 15,000,000 credits of Black Mirror? This would work just as well as a stage play told in linear order. After half an hour, I was glad I saw the movies for free.
I cried three times by the end and laughed twice
But you’d be better off waiting for that without the extra fees on a streaming service. Then I have the same opinion about Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, so…
