Narrative
Follows Madeline Matlock as she reenters the workforce at a prestigious law firm, where she uses her cunning tactics to win cases and expose wrongdoing. A gender-swapped takeoff on the original 1986 TV series of the same name, Matlock (1986), starring Andy Griffith in the lead role of criminal defense attorney Ben Matlock. Remake of Matlock (1986)
In order for Matlock to be hired by a New York law firm, they would have had to have verified the status of her law license through one of three official mechanisms, each carefully administered by the state. This would have verified identity, address, current license status, disciplinary actions, etc. I found episode 1 and watched it streaming.
It was brilliant
When can we see the rest? We need a good series that is suspenseful and entertaining. And this will do it for me.
I have been waiting for this series since it was announced
The story so far is entertaining to the edge of your seat. The cunning Matlock has all the hallmarks of a grandmother you want to keep an eye on and then surprises you with her cunning, years of experience reading people and knowing how to manipulate a situation to reach her ultimate goal. Kathy Bates is a brilliant actress and the rest of the cast isn’t bad either.
