Land grabs threaten to destroy the crumbling dynasty
Narrative
With no heir apparent to the massive Lawson cattle station, Australia’s rival factions see an opportunity to seize control. The series was shot in remote locations across the Northern Territory and South Australia that are barely inhabited – let alone on screen.
We really enjoyed this series
Locations include the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park – with special permission from the traditional owners – and Tipperary Station, a real-life, working cattle station, with its own airport and school.. Great actors.
Anna Tove is wonderful as a complex female antagonist
We loved Robert Taylor in Longmeier, who makes an old and crusty man in a great western style. We loved her in Fringe but didn’t know she was Australian because she dropped her accent.
Same goes for Michael Dorman in For All Mankind
U.K. And the Australian/NZ actors dropping their accents and having American voices is so amazing.
I really hope there’s a season 2
It’s nice to have nature shows instead of concrete cities and constant violence. If you like Yellowstone, you’ll like this.
